On the morning of April 26, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs and the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks to organize the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025. Attending the Ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Dang Ngoc Huy; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan; representatives of departments, branches, localities, enterprises and more than 600 union members, workers, teachers and students of vocational colleges in the province.

With the theme “Vietnamese workers take the lead in entering a new era” and “Strengthening assessment, identifying hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace”, the Workers’ Month and the Month of Action on occupational safety and health in 2025 focus on raising awareness and responsibility of employers and employees about the importance of occupational safety and health. At the same time, it aims to strengthen measures to prevent and control risks, improve working conditions, and build a safety culture in the working environment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan praised and congratulated the achievements of trade unions at all levels, departments, branches, organizations, political and social organizations, enterprises and all workers in the past time. At the same time, he requested trade unions at all levels to promote emulation to develop union members, establish grassroots trade unions, especially in the non-farming sector; proactively implement solutions to protect legitimate rights and interests; negotiate and sign collective labor agreements; listen to, grasp the thoughts and aspirations and promptly resolve the difficulties of workers, contributing to improving the lives of workers.
In addition, local agencies and units need to focus on promoting propaganda and dissemination of occupational safety and hygiene; strengthening inspection and examination of occupational safety, especially in high-risk areas, and strictly handling violations.
The Vice President also suggested that businesses proactively prevent risks, provide occupational safety training for workers; pay attention to workers' health care; regularly dialogue, listen, promote initiatives, and work with workers to improve productivity and develop production.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 08 enterprises with outstanding achievements in implementing occupational safety and hygiene in 2024. The Provincial Federation of Labor presented 90 gifts to workers and laborers. These are among 250 gifts from the Provincial Federation of Labor for union members, workers and laborers in Workers' Month 2025.
