(PetroTimes) – On July 12 and 13, 2025, at Celadon Stadium (HCMC), the Trade Union of the Oil and Gas Construction Maintenance and Repair Corporation (PVMR) organized the 7th Traditional Sports Festival. This is a meaningful sports event, part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam).
This is also an activity to celebrate the success of the 4th PVMR Party Congress (term 2025-2030) and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Energy Inspection Joint Stock Company - the successor unit of PVMR's Energy Department.
Mr. Le Van Sy - General Director of PVMR and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hien - Deputy General Director, Chairwoman of PVMR Trade Union presented flowers and souvenir flags to representatives of the athlete delegations.
This year's sports festival gathered nearly 200 athletes from 5 member units of PVMR, competing in 10 sports with strong team spirit such as: football, volleyball, tug of war, sack jumping, badminton, tennis, athletics, swimming, chess and especially pickleball - a relatively new sport, introduced for the first time into the competition program, bringing a new breeze, contributing to creating a youthful and modern highlight for this sports festival.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hien - Deputy General Director, Chairwoman of PVMR Trade Union affirmed: "The sports festival is not only an opportunity to train physical fitness and improve the spiritual life of workers, but also an opportunity to strengthen the connection between units, contributing to fostering the corporate culture of PVMR: dynamic, creative, persistent and united".

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility - Health to contribute", the 7th PVMR Sports Festival took place in an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere, leaving many impressive moments, spreading the noble sports spirit throughout the PVMR system.
This is not only a healthy playground, but also a catalyst to stimulate team spirit, add positive energy, encourage the sports movement, contributing to building a team of PVMR staff and workers who are increasingly healthy, united and comprehensively developed.
