BSR honors advanced models and celebrates 50 million safe working hours

On March 19, at Dung Quat Oil Refinery, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a conference to commend advanced models in the 2020-2025 period and celebrate the milestone of 50 million safe working hours.

Attending the Conference were Colonel Tran Tuan Anh - Commander of the Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard Command; representatives of Quang Ngai Provincial Police. On the side of Petrovietnam Group, there was Mr. Trinh Tuan Anh - Deputy Head of the Group's Human Resources Management Department.

On the side of BSR, there were Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - Deputy Party Committee Secretary, General Director; along with the Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the Board of Directors, Board of General Directors, Board of Supervisors, Factory Board of Directors; members of the Emulation and Reward Council, representatives of BSR associations and unions and nearly 300 BSR employees and contractors working at the factory.

BSR's collective of workers demonstrated their determination to compete and excellently complete the assigned tasks.

Summary of patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025

At the conference, Mr. Pham Minh Nghia - Deputy General Director of the Company reported on the summary of the patriotic emulation movement for the period of 2020-2025, the direction for the period of 2025-2030 and the journey to reach the milestone of 50 million safe working hours of BSR. In the recent period, BSR has organized many exciting and outstanding emulation movements such as: Emulation movement to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; emulation movement to complete the 4th overall maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery for 51 days and nights; emulation movement to complete the 5th overall maintenance of Dung Quat Oil Refinery for 48 days and nights. The most prominent of these is the emulation movement "Creative labor, good labor, promoting initiatives, technical innovation, rationalizing production" - one of the spearheads of the patriotic emulation movement, the driving force for promoting production.

These programs act as catalysts, stirring up vitality, creating solidarity and consensus among BSR workers and contractors. All movements aim at the common goal: ensuring the plant operates safely, stably and effectively; creating new motivation, renewing old motivation, transforming the business model and developing BSR sustainably; contributing to the further development of Petrovietnam and ensuring national energy security” – BSR Deputy General Director Pham Minh Nghia emphasized.

Over the past 5 years, BSR has recorded a total of 135 initiatives; of which 89 initiatives were recognized by BSR, 16 initiatives were honored by Petrovietnam, 17 initiatives were honored by Quang Ngai province and 13 initiatives were recognized by the State. These initiatives not only contribute to improving labor productivity but also optimize the production process, bringing clear efficiency to the company.

At the conference, Petrovietnam representatives awarded certificates of merit to BSR collectives for their outstanding achievements in achieving the milestone of 50 million safe work hours without lost work days, as commended by Petrovietnam General Director Le Ngoc Son. BSR General Director Nguyen Viet Thang awarded outstanding collectives and individuals in safety work on the occasion of BSR reaching the milestone of 50 million safe work hours.

The BSR General Director also presented symbols to outstanding collectives and advanced models in the 2020-2025 period and outstanding individuals and advanced models in key areas of work and tasks in the 2020-2025 period. 10 emulation covenant tasks for the 2025-2030 period of BSR

1. Maintain safe and stable factory operation at high capacity. Optimize and save energy with the goal of energy consumption index approaching 100 by 2030 (according to Solomon).

2. Diversify new raw materials (crude oil and/or intermediate components) to continuously expand the crude oil/intermediate component basket for the factory; improve output and production and business efficiency.

3. Complete the Dung Quat Oil Refinery Expansion and Upgrade Project to process and upgrade the quality of petroleum products. Complete other investment projects according to the approved schedule.

4. Research and invest in new petrochemical/chemical development projects.

5. Research sustainable, environmentally friendly fuel products, green products, circular economy, and CO2 emission reduction.

6. Research and develop production and application of renewable energy, green hydrogen/ammonia and new products with high added value.

7. Implement digital transformation, apply science and technology, promote innovation in all activities of BSR.

8. Practice BSR culture, safety culture, thrift culture, anti-waste.

9. Promote scientific research, creative work, promote innovative initiatives, apply them to practice to improve labor productivity, production and business efficiency and realize the Company's Development Strategy goals.

10. Exceed the targets of the 2025-2030 Business Production Plan.
