BSR received the handover of package number 4 - Seawater cooling pipeline

(PetroTimes) - On April 8, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) held a handover ceremony for package No. 4 - maintenance of the seawater cooling pipeline system. This is one of 6 main packages undertaken by contractors during the 5th general maintenance (BDTT) of Dung Quat Oil Refinery and is a package with a quite special working space when the personnel maintenance work, construction completely underground.

Attending the handover ceremony, on BSR's side were Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi - Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong - General Director; along with Members of the Board of Directors, Board of General Directors, Factory Board of Directors and leaders of specialized departments. On the contractor side, there are representatives of the units: PVMR, PME and PMS.

The handover ceremony of package No. 4 took place in the presence of BSR leaders and leaders of contractors.

During the 5th BDTT of Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the maintenance item of the seawater cooling pipeline system in package number 4 was undertaken by the PPV Contractor Joint Venture (including PVMR, PME and V3) in 16 days. This is a bidding package where personnel work entirely underground because BSR's entire seawater cooling pipeline system is located at a depth of about 2m underground.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Giang - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of PME Company, Project Director of Package No. 4 said that to complete this package, the PPV Joint Venture has mobilized about 300 personnel. When starting work, the JV's personnel must open the manhole, suck out all remaining seawater in the pipeline, then ventilate, supply oxygen to the pipeline and install the lighting system. BSR personnel will check and evaluate the condition of each pipeline area, mark points that need painting, maintenance and hand over to the PPV Contractor Joint Venture for implementation. After that, the PPV Contractor cleaned and painted a special solvent-free, fast-drying paint, with the total painting area of the entire system being about 6,800m2.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi - Chairman of the Board of Directors of BSR acknowledged the efforts of the PPV Contractor Joint Venture in completing the project on schedule, making an important contribution to the completion of the project. The 5th BDTT session of Dung Quat Oil Refinery ensures safety, quality, schedule and cost optimization.

This is the second project in the 6 main projects of the 5th BDTT phase that has been accepted by BSR and received handover from contractors to put into operation again. Currently, BSR is actively coordinating with contractors to accelerate the implementation of the remaining 4 projects and accept and receive handover to soon bring Dung Quat Oil Refinery back into operation according to the proposed plan. to ensure the country's petroleum supply, contributing to national energy security.
